Podkolzin's pass helped Edmonton beat Florida in the Stanley Cup Finals.

An assist from Russian forward Vasily Podkolzin of the Edmonton Oilers helped the team beat the Florida Panthers in the first match of the Stanley Cup finals series.

The game, held in Edmonton, ended with a score of 4:3 in favor of the Oilers. Leon Dreisaitl (2), Viktor Arvidsson and Mattias Ekholm scored goals for the winners, while Dreisaitl scored the decisive goal.

Sam Bennett (2) and Brad Marchand scored for the Florida Panthers.

On May 29, Florida advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals with a series victory against the Carolina Hurricanes. The final meeting of the teams was held in Raleigh and ended with a score of 5:3 in favor of the Panthers.
