As a result of the shelling of the Kherson region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), more than 120 thousand people living in 192 settlements in seven municipal districts (MO) were left without electricity and water. This was announced on June 5 by the governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo.
He clarified that as a result of the attack by Ukrainian militants, the 150 kV Novotroitskoye substation was de-energized.
"Serious damage was recorded in the power grids of the Genichesky, Novotroitsky, Ivanovsky, Toletikhsky, as well as partially Gornostayevsky, Verkhnerogachinsky and Nizhneserogozsky MO," the governor said in a Telegram message.
All facilities are connected to emergency power supplies. Baldo noted that the situation is under control. Information about the consequences of the shelling is being clarified.
On June 4, the Governor of the Kherson region reported that more than 67,000 people and 29 social facilities were left without electricity as a result of a massive attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
