The fire occurred at a landfill of solid household waste (MSW) on an area of 2 thousand square meters in Chita. This was reported on June 5 in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Trans-Baikal Territory.
"At the moment, the fire area is 2 thousand square meters. m. Extinguishing is complicated by strong winds with gusts up to 25-30 m/s," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.
It is noted that 82 specialists and 18 pieces of equipment are working at the fire site. The forces of the specialized fire and rescue unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Amur region are also involved in extinguishing the flames.
On June 3, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation reported a fire at a pavilion with building materials in New Moscow. It was clarified that the flame covered an area of 400 square meters. m. 22 specialists and eight pieces of equipment took part in the elimination of the fire.
