Kim Jong-un promised Russia's unconditional support in the conflict in Ukraine


The leader of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, during a meeting with the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu, said that the Korean government would continue to unconditionally support Moscow in the conflict in Ukraine. This was reported on June 5 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
"Comrade Kim Jong-un assured that the DPRK government will continue to unconditionally support Russia's position and foreign policy in all serious international political issues, primarily around Ukraine, with responsibility to comply with the articles of the Korean-Russian interstate treaty," the publication says.
During the meeting, the issue of further cooperation and strengthening the strategic partnership between Russia and the CDNR was also raised. The agency clarified that the opinions of both countries on the development of the conflict in Ukraine completely coincide, and Kim Jong-un expressed hope and confidence in the indispensable victory of the Russian Federation in the field of protecting state sovereignty and security interests.
The Russian Embassy in North Korea reported on June 4 that Shoigu held a meeting with Kim Jong-un, during which they discussed the development of cooperation, the conflict in Ukraine and the situation on the Korean peninsula.
