75% of vacancies for specialists with secondary vocational education have been opened in Moscow.

75% of the 500,000 vacancies in Moscow require specialists with secondary vocational education (SPE), Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Social Development, told Izvestia in an interview.

"The main source of replenishment of the workforce is, of course, young people who enter the market after completing their education. But only 20% of these guys have secondary vocational education, 60% have higher education," she noted.

According to Rakova, the city's economy employs 8 million people. There is a shortage of personnel in almost all industries.

"It is most acute in industry, construction, transport, and IT," said the deputy mayor.
