The United States has used its veto power on a draft UN Security Council resolution on an immediate cease-fire in the Gaza Strip and lifting restrictions on humanitarian supplies to the region. This was reported by TASS on June 4.

It is specified that all 15 members of the organization participated in the voting for the adoption of the draft. Only the American side opposed the resolution, while the rest supported the relevant draft.

On the same day, Axios correspondent Barak Ravid announced that the United States intends to veto a draft UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire in the Gaza Strip. It was reported that the draft resolution was prepared by a dozen non-permanent members of the Security Council.
