A criminal case on negligence was initiated after a dog attacked a child on the beach of Shakhty in the Rostov region. This was reported on June 4 on the website of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
"It is reported on social networks that an unattended dog attacked a minor on the beach in Shakhty, causing him bodily injuries. <...> The investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Rostov region have opened a criminal case on this fact on the grounds of a crime under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence")," the statement said.
The department clarified that the child needed medical attention. It is noted that the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the head of the regional investigative department to report on the progress of the investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
On May 31, the investigative department of the Investigative Committee for the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug reported an attack by a pack of stray dogs on a child on Energetikov Street in Anadyr, who received multiple wounds to his lower extremities.
