The agronomist urged summer residents not to water the plants with artesian water

Mikhail Vorobyov, an agronomist and biologist, pointed out the main problem of summer residents in summer is watering plants.
In an interview with Radio 1 on Wednesday, June 4, the expert said that if water is constantly flowing from a hose, pond or river, then there will be no special problems — the plants will grow, bloom and smell.
"And if you come occasionally and pour artesian water, the temperature of which is about 7-10 degrees, then it is harmful. Such water can only be sprayed," the agronomist explained.
According to him, it is important to prevent cold water from reaching the roots. In this case, the plants begin to work in winter mode and do not gain speed in growth.
"They do not have time to replenish the amount of water that evaporates the leaves, and the leaves wither," said Vorobyov.
He added that in some heat-loving crops, such as cucumbers, pumpkins, zucchini, tomatoes, eggplants, the roots can rot due to cold water, and watering only makes it worse. Artesian water should be heated in the sun before watering plants.
Earlier on June 4, agronomist Vladimir Vikulov, in an interview with Moscow 24, listed three important types of work in the garden in June. So, pest control, proper watering of plantings and soil mulching are important in the garden, RT clarifies.
May 31 Pravda.Ru, referring to experts, wrote that watering plants in the heat is not the best option. It is better to do this in the early morning: This way, the water will have time to get to the roots without evaporating, and the plants will receive enough moisture before a hot day. It also reduces the risk of fungal diseases, because water does not stagnate on the leaves.
On May 19, agronomist Andrey Tumanov advised planting cucumbers next to their "relatives." We are talking about the pumpkin family: squash, squash and the pumpkin itself. 360.ru . The specialist advised watering the plants daily with warm water.
Also in May, Dmitry Bondar, an expert on housing and communal services, told summer residents about fines for uncut grass. So, a summer resident must mow the grass within his plot, and if the territory is within the boundaries of a non-profit partnership, then the requirements may also apply to public areas.
