Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump discussed a number of international issues during a telephone conversation, in particular the conflict between India and Pakistan and Iran's nuclear program. Yuri Ushakov, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, told about this at a briefing on June 4.

"Apart from Ukraine, a number of international issues were discussed. I would say with an emphasis on the somewhat stalled situation in the negotiations between the United States and Iran on the Iranian nuclear program. <...> In addition, the Middle East was touched upon, as well as the armed conflict between India and Pakistan, which was stopped with the personal participation of President Trump," Ushakov said.
