The United States refuses to provide the so-called "coalition of the willing" with air defense forces after the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. This was reported by the Bloomberg news agency on June 4.

It is clarified that Britain and France want to receive air defense from the United States to allegedly deter Russia. According to the agency, London and Paris had previously tried to convince US President Donald Trump to provide them with air forces and surveillance capabilities over the border between Ukraine and Russia.

"But the European allies, in discussions with their American counterparts, came to the conclusion that President Donald Trump would not provide the guarantees they sought to support the European—led coalition of the willing," the agency said in a statement.

It is noted that the United Kingdom and France continue to hope to receive support from the United States. However, European officials are not sure that Trump will give them such a written guarantee.

On May 21, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) newspaper, citing sources, reported that Trump rejected the European Union's (EU) proposal for an "unconditional" cease-fire as a result of negotiations on Ukraine. It is clarified that the American leader did not agree with this position, stressing that he did not like the use of such a term in the context of discussing measures to resolve the conflict.
