The ancient Zolotushka-1 burial mound in Yessentuki was partially destroyed during excavation work. It is included in the list of cultural heritage sites at the federal level, the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the Stavropol Territory reported on Wednesday, June 4.

The destruction was revealed during a prosecutor's inspection, writes IA StavropolMedia. It turned out that work on the facility was carried out in the fall of 2024 without the approval of the authorities.
