The St. Petersburg House of Music hosted a concert of the cycle "Evenings in the English Hall" with the participation of oboist Fyodor Osver, winner of the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition, winner of the Prague Spring International Competition. The event took place on June 4.
The concert was also attended by the winner of the First International Rachmaninov Competition, pianist Alexander Klyuchko.
As reported on the website of the House of Music, the musicians performed works by Fryderyk Chopin, Robert Schumann, Giovanni Daelli and Francis Poulenc.
"Evenings in the English Hall" is a series of chamber concerts by the St. Petersburg House of Music. Thanks to the abundant sculpting and wood carvings that adorn the English Hall of the Alekseevsky Palace, it has excellent acoustics. Successful young soloists participating in the House of Music programs, as well as outstanding artists from Russia and around the world, are invited to perform in the cycle.
On March 5, the program "Beauty is given to you by nature ..." as part of the cycle "Evenings in the English Hall" was held at the St. Petersburg House of Music. According to Sergey Roldugin, People's Artist of the Russian Federation and artistic director of the St. Petersburg House of Music, poetry and music were emotionally connected at the event.
