Kislovodsk residents will be given plants to plant in their yards.

The authorities of Kislovodsk will distribute a thousand seedlings to local residents in the summer. The townspeople should land them on the territory adjacent to the house or on the private plots of the resort, the press service of the mayor's office reported on Wednesday, June 4.

The plants will be given to those who have submitted preliminary applications. Among the seedlings are sage, coreopsis, lupines, petunias, lobelia and lavender. In the autumn, the authorities will summarize the results and encourage the most active.

According to the StavropolMedia news agency, the city has been greening in this way for the second year in a row. As explained in the administration, the initiative is taken by the residents themselves.

Earlier it was reported that decorative lighting was installed on the ring pier of the Old Lake in Kislovodsk. The illumination was installed all around the perimeter.
