- The Rolls-Royce driver who hit the biker called the accident in St. Petersburg an accident

The driver, Sergey Sosorev, who moved to a motorcyclist's Rolls-Royce in St. Petersburg, apologized for the accident and called it an accident. He told about it on June 4 in the Krasnoselsky district court of the city, the correspondent of Izvestia reports.
"I have already apologized to the relatives, the damage has already been reimbursed to the victim himself. I also want to apologize to the public for what happened. What happened is just an accident. <...> It was just carelessness," he said.
Sosorev was charged under Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles") and Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional infliction of serious harm to health").
The accident occurred on June 1 at the intersection of Peterhof Highway and Admiral Tributs Street in St. Petersburg. The next day, on June 2, the injured motorcyclist told Izvestia that he was preparing for surgery. At that time, the identity of the alleged Rolls-Royce driver was already established — he turned out to be Sergey Sosorev, 37-year-old chairman of the board of TSN Vsevolozhsky 29.
According to an eyewitness, the driver and passenger of the foreign car approached the victim after the collision, but did not provide assistance, but began to hide their tracks. As the 78 TV channel reported on June 3, the Rolls-Royce driver's family has been regularly brought to administrative responsibility over the past year.
