The general director of the contractor of the Ministry of Defense was accused of embezzlement during the execution of the defense order

Alexander Antonenkov, CEO of Special Projects and Systems LLC, is accused of embezzling 230 million rubles while fulfilling a state defense order. This was announced on June 4 by the press service of the military investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"Investigative actions have been completed in the criminal case against Alexander Antonenkov, General Director of Special Projects and Systems LLC, who is accused of fraud on an especially large scale in the execution of a state defense order (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the agency wrote in its Telegram channel.

According to the investigation, during the execution of the state defense order, the Russian Ministry of Defense and Special Projects and Systems LLC signed a multimillion-dollar contract for the repair of engineering structures. Antonenkov supervised the execution of the work.

In 2021-2022, the CEO committed embezzlement of more than 230 million rubles from the budget, using fictitious documents about the amount of work performed. As a result, he did not fulfill the terms of the contract, which caused significant damage to the state.

Antonenkov's property totaling 14 million rubles was seized, the Investigative Committee added.

On June 2, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against Igor Ignatov, Deputy Head of Sales at Delrus LLC, and Alexander Khotsin, Commercial Director at TDA-Service LLC, who are accused of embezzling budget funds during the execution of a government contract. It is specified that in 2022, the defendants committed embezzlement of funds in the amount of 57 million rubles by overestimating the cost of equipment, and then distributed the money among themselves.
