The chairman of the Bundestag from the CDU, Julia Kleckner, interrupted a meeting of parliament in order to remove a deputy from the Left Party, Kansin Kekturk, from it because of a T-shirt with the inscription "Palestine". This was reported on June 4 by the German newspaper Tagesspiegel.

"I would like to make one comment. We have agreed, and these are the clear rules of the Bundestag, according to which neither stickers nor any other inscriptions on T-shirts should be present on deputies. I asked MP Frau Kekturk to change her clothes," Kleckner said.

Kekturk refused to do this, got up from her seat and left the meeting. Other deputies from the Left Party followed her.

It is clarified that this is not the first time that Kekturk wears clothes with symbols of Palestine. She had previously come in a scarf with a similar inscription. Then she explained her choice by saying that she was concerned about human rights violations in the Gaza Strip by Israel.

Earlier, on March 8, a man with a Palestinian flag climbed London's Big Ben. A video on social media showed him standing on the ledge of the tower at a height of several meters, holding the flag of Palestine in his hands.
