Mishustin reported a 7% increase in trade between Russia and Tajikistan%


The volume of mutual trade between Russia and Tajikistan increased by 7% and exceeded the figure of 44 billion rubles. This was stated on June 4 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a conversation with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
"Relations between our countries are developing quite successfully. In the four months of 2025, the mutual trade turnover increased by 7% and exceeded 44 billion rubles," the Prime minister said.
Mishustin added that there are opportunities to increase trade volumes in the fields of mechanical engineering, agriculture, mining and energy.
The Prime Minister noted that Russia highly appreciates Rahmon's participation in the celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. He assured that the governments of the two countries would implement all the decisions taken by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Rahmon during the Tajik leader's official visit.
On May 28, Putin discussed issues of strategic partnership and allied cooperation between Dushanbe and Moscow with Chairman of the Upper house of the Parliament of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali. It was clarified that Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko took part in the meeting from the Russian side.
