A resident of Crimea was sentenced to 20 years in prison in a case of treason.

The court found a resident of Crimea guilty of high treason and sentenced him to 20 years in prison, the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Crimea informed on June 4.
"The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 20 years in prison with subsequent restriction of liberty for 1 year and 6 months and a fine of 50 thousand rubles," the department's Telegram channel says.
According to the information established in court, the man who opposed the special military operation (SVO) began contacting representatives of the SBU in 2022.
As a result, he was assigned to install video surveillance of the facility by one of the law enforcement agencies. Based on these goals, the man, under a fictitious pretext, installed a camera on the balcony of a local resident's apartment.
On May 16, it was reported that a resident of Tuapse was arrested for financing a paramilitary unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) using cryptocurrency.
