Pistorius announced the imminent arrival of long-range systems in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) In a few weeks, they will be able to receive the first long-range systems as part of the Berlin and Kiev weapons production project. This was announced on June 4 by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

Upon arrival at the meeting of the international contact group for the coordination of military assistance to Ukraine, he noted that a significant number of long-range weapons could be produced this year.

"The first systems can be deployed and ready for use in the Ukrainian forces in a few weeks," stressed the head of the German Ministry of Defense, the event was broadcast on the DRM News YouTube channel.

He also added that the parties agreed to continue the supply of air defense systems, weapons and ammunition, and to continue financing by Berlin.

The Ukrainian authorities may rely on an upgraded version of the Soviet rocket.

Pistorius announced on May 28 that Germany would provide military support to Ukraine in the amount of € 5 billion. On the same day, the German Ministry of Defense indicated that the country would finance the production of long-range weapons systems in Ukraine. It was clarified that Pistorius and his Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov had agreed on the relevant deal in writing.
