Stand-up comedian Ostanin was added to the list of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation

Stand-up comedian Artemy Ostanin, who was arrested in a case of inciting hatred, was added to the list of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation. The relevant information appeared on June 4 on the agency's website.

"Ostanin Artemy Romanovich, born on 18.03.1996," his data is given in Rosfinmonitoring.

The text clarifies that the man was born in the city of Jeske in the Krasnodar Territory. According to investigators, the stand-up comedian made hostile comments about people who were injured and disabled during a public appearance.

Ostanin's arrest while trying to leave Russia became known on March 18. According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, he is suspected of committing a crime under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code ("Incitement of hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity").

Later, during the interrogation, Ostanin apologized for his speech.
