- The political scientist pointed out that the United States is tired of Ukraine's problems

The United States has lost interest in the conflict in Ukraine and is tired of Kiev's problems. Political scientist Konstantin Blokhin shared this opinion with Izvestia on June 4.
Earlier in the day, the Associated Press reported that Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth would miss a meeting of the international contact group for the coordination of military assistance to Ukraine for the first time.
"This is a demonstrative signal that they (Washington - Ed.) are really not up to Ukraine, that they are tired of Ukraine, because they cannot make multibillion-dollar profits, extract resources in conditions of <conflict>, or convert this lost profit into political prestige," the expert noted.
According to him, the American leader Donald Trump tried to play the role of a peacemaker, but because of the positions of Kiev and European countries it did not work out. In addition, the United States has many other tasks, Blokhin stressed.
"There are a lot of other problems that are more important, and we must try to solve them with our sleeves rolled up: to contain China, to contain Iran, to support Israel in a possible conflict with Iran, to even out the trade deficit and balance, moreover, to restore order within the United States, to deal with bureaucracy," the political scientist explained.
Hegseth's decision means that the Kiev regime will probably lose half of the Western aid, because it falls on Washington, the expert believes. The Europeans understand this, so they pushed Ukraine to negotiate in order to freeze the conflict, Blokhin explained.
"They (Kiev and European partners) will have to. — Ed.), of course, to save resources. Most likely, we will have to negotiate with Russia, but the tactic here is not to solve the root cause of the Ukrainian conflict, but to prolong these negotiations. <...> The task is to stay in power for three and a half years while Trump is in power, amid a reduction in Western aid," the expert concluded.
The day before, ABC News reported that the American administration had begun to pay less attention to the Ukrainian issue. In turn, the US Ambassador to Turkey and special envoy for Syria, Thomas Barrack, noted that Trump had reached the "end of his patience" regarding the conflict in Ukraine.
