A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. It is noted that units of the North group of forces have completed the liberation of the Kondratovka settlement in the Sumy region, and units of the Zapad group of forces have liberated Redkodub in the Donetsk People's Republic. The units of the Southern Group of Forces have improved their position along the front line.

"Three US—made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 109 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems," the Defense Ministry added.

Also, tactical aircraft, strike unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces destroyed the launcher, radar station and control cabin of the IRIS-T anti-aircraft missile system manufactured in Germany, defeated the fuel production plant, workshops for the assembly of attack unmanned aerial vehicles and their storage sites, ammunition depots, base logistical support, as well as temporary deployment points of the Armed Forces units in 133 districts.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 663 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 61,316 unmanned aerial vehicles, 610 anti-aircraft missile systems, 23,749 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,566 multiple rocket launchers, 25,696 field artillery and mortars, 36,441 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
