A schoolgirl was hospitalized after being bitten by a scorpion in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, a schoolgirl was taken to one of the city's hospitals with suspected toxic effects from insect venom. Presumably, she was stung by a scorpion on her finger.
The incident occurred in an apartment on Kronverksky Prospekt, the 78 TV channel reports. The circumstances of the incident are now being investigated.
The condition of the 13-year-old girl is assessed as moderate.
In mid-May, the Russian government approved a list of prohibited animals. The list includes 121 species of creatures that pose a threat. The list of mammals includes elephants, rhinos, hippos, hyenas, primates, as well as wolves, foxes, bears, lions, tigers and leopards. Venomous spiders, including the black widow, as well as scorpions and some tree frogs, were also banned.
