Street trading near metro and roads will be banned in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, they plan to strengthen the regulation of street trade in some areas. The measures will take effect on July 1.
According to the 78 TV channel, such trade may be prohibited within a radius of 100 m from the entrance (exit) to the lobby of the metro station, within a radius of 50 m from the buildings of schools, clinics, hospitals, cultural institutions and sports facilities.
Trade may also be prohibited within a radius of 50 m from public transport stops, pedestrian crossings, entrances (exits) to underground pedestrian crossings and directly in underground passages.
The ban will be extended to the borders of regional roads, public green spaces, landscaped playgrounds, playgrounds for sports and recreation areas.
Earlier, Roskachestvo named the places with the most frequent violation of sanitary standards. They are usually found where it is difficult to ensure constant monitoring and compliance with strict hygiene requirements. The most problematic points include places where food is sold on the street, such as tents, food trucks, or festivals. One of the reasons for the violations is the lack of adequate infrastructure at time points, including water supply and sanitation.
