Before clicking on the sent link, it is recommended to check it for phishing and viruses. This was announced on June 4 by the Department for the Organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

According to the agency's data published in the Telegram channel, you should copy the suspicious URL and go to the Virustotal website. In the URL verification section, paste the copied address and click the "search" button.

It is clarified that if at least one of the checked parameters is displayed in red, this indicates the danger of a click-through link.

On March 2, Sergey Kuzmenko, head of the Roskachestvo Digital Expertise Center, said that fraudsters had begun abusing the unsubscribe button from electronic mailings. By clicking on this button, the user can be redirected to a phishing site.

Kuzmenko noted that a special link should be used to stop receiving messages. Although it is safe in most cases, sometimes it can lead to a fraudulent resource.
