The prosecutor's office began an inspection after an emergency helicopter landing in the Tomsk region.

The Transport Prosecutor's Office has begun checking the circumstances of an emergency helicopter landing during the performance of aviation operations by the Yeltsovka Aviation company in the Tomsk Region. This was announced on June 4 by the press service in the department.

"According to preliminary data, <...> while performing aviation operations, the Mi-8T aircraft operated by Yeltsovka Aviation Company made an emergency landing in the Parabelsky district of the Tomsk Region for a technical reason," the Telegram channel clarified.

There were 17 passengers and three crew members on board. No one was injured.

It is specified that as part of the inspection, the agency finds out whether the safety requirements were met when operating the helicopter and performing aviation work.

On March 4, the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) said that the cause of the accident of a private light-engine aircraft in Lytkarino on June 8, 2024 was an engine shutdown due to an oil leak. The reasons and perpetrators for installing such a valve could not be identified.
