Degtyarev announced the creation of about 500 sports facilities in Russia in five years.

Thanks to the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as the "Sport is the Norm of Life" project, almost 500 sports facilities have been built on the territory of the state in five years. This was announced on June 4 by Russian Sports Minister and President of the Russian Olympic Committee Mikhail Degtyarev during the government hour in the Federation Council.

"In five years, thanks to the decisions of our president and the Sport is the Norm of Life project, almost 500 facilities have been built in different regions, including large regional centers, 200 of which have appeared in rural areas," he said.

In addition, 1,9 thousand TRP sites, 123 football fields, 180 outdoor pools, and 760 sports schools were created. According to Degtyarev, this work continues to be carried out as part of the implementation of the Sports of Russia program. It started operating this year.

The Minister of Sports also noted that from 2025 to 2027, there are plans to build 115 "capital sports facilities", 1,078 "small", 86 modular facilities and over 600 "smart" playgrounds.
