Two women were detained in Crimea for passing information to the special services of Ukraine

Two women were detained in the Republic of Crimea, who passed information about military facilities in the region to the Ukrainian special services. This was announced on June 4 at the Center for Public Relations (SOC) of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia.

"The activities of two female agents of the Ukrainian special services who transmitted information about military facilities in Crimea have been suppressed," the ministry noted.

According to the investigation, one of the detainees, on her own initiative, contacted the administrator of the Telegram channel coordinated by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, offering her assistance in collecting information. She transmitted information about military facilities, which was intended for the subsequent infliction of fire damage on them by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

It is specified that the second detainee, a resident of Sevastopol, carried out visual surveillance, collected and transmitted data on a serviceman of the Russian Black Sea Fleet to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

"Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects on the grounds of a crime under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason in the form of espionage"). A preventive measure has been chosen in the form of detention," the FSB Central Control Center said in a statement.

The day before, the FSB of the Russian Federation announced the detention of a resident of Feodosia, who, on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, assembled a bomb and placed it in a cache in Sevastopol.

A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Articles 275 and Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason", "Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of explosives or explosive devices"). During the interrogation, the defendant confessed to preparing a terrorist attack.
