In the Chelyabinsk region, law enforcement agencies destroyed a drug laboratory in which about 500 kg of banned substances were synthesized every month. This was announced on June 4 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

"Operatives discovered illegal production in a private house in the Kartalinsky district of the Chelyabinsk region. Two intruders were manufacturing narcotic drugs there <...>. They placed the drug ready for sale in hiding places, from where it was picked up by couriers from other regions. Each bookmark was a large batch weighing 15-20 kg," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

During the investigative measures, two similar hiding places were found. Approximately 18 kg of synthetics were found in them. In the laboratory itself, the police found over 427 kg of narcotic drugs, about 1 ton of precursors. According to experts, approximately one million single doses did not reach customers. Their cost is over 1.5 billion rubles.

The investigative measures were carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs together with the Rosgvardiya. As a result, law enforcement agencies initiated a criminal case in accordance with Part 3 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code ("Preparation for a crime and attempted crime"), Part 5 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs"). The participants were taken into custody. At the moment, the investigation is ongoing.

On June 2, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation liquidated a laboratory for the production of synthetic drugs in the Irkutsk region. It is specified that it was equipped by a 28-year-old local resident in a private house.
