In the Kaluga region, police officers detained a young man for burning a Russian passport in a video. This was announced on June 3 by the press service of the regional Department (UMVD).
"The police of the Kaluga region detained a young man who filmed himself setting fire to a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation. He turned out to be a 22-year—old native of Zhukovsky district," the Telegram channel says.
According to the suspect, the video was made in 2022, and it showed his invalid passport.

Earlier in the day, employees of the Federal Security Service (UFSB) office in the Chelyabinsk Region stopped an attempt by a local resident to set fire to a government building. A criminal case was opened against the suspect under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Attempted terrorist act").
