The Russian government has extended the deadline for the implementation of the state program for the development of the military-industrial complex (MIC) until 2036. The corresponding decree was published on the government's website on June 4.

The document on the extension of the implementation period of the program "Development of the military-industrial complex" was signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.

It is noted that the objectives of the project are the dynamic development of the potential of the Russian defense industry and increasing its competitive advantages.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on May 23 that the country's defense industry is now continuing to operate in an enhanced mode and its key task is to provide all necessary units involved in a special military operation. The Head of State called for improved cooperation with foreign partners to promote the export of Russian weapons.
