NATO countries are considering the initiative to create a brief final declaration of the summit, which will not mention Ukraine's possible membership in the alliance, so as not to create disagreements within the bloc. This was reported on June 4 by Agence France-Presse (AFP), citing sources.

"There will be nothing about it. I expect that we will remain completely silent," the agency quoted the source as saying.

According to the newspaper, official negotiations with the Ukrainian side are also not expected. At the same time, President Vladimir Zelensky has been invited to the meeting.

In addition, the leaders of the NATO countries will not accept a joint statement on military support for Kiev at the alliance summit due to the suspension of new US aid.

It is noted that the summit will be held in The Hague in June.

On June 1, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans said that the Ukrainian side would not be able to become a full member of NATO in the foreseeable future.

At the same time, the Secretary General of the alliance, Mark Rutte, said on April 4 that no one had promised Ukraine to accept it into NATO immediately after the end of the conflict. He noted that the alliance had previously only promised Kiev an irreversible path to membership in the organization.
