- The Foreign Ministry called the NATO exercises part of the preparation for a possible clash with the Russian Federation.

The NATO exercises in the Baltic Sea are regarded as part of the preparation for a military clash with Russia. This was announced on June 4 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko.
"We assess NATO's military activity as part of preparations for military clashes with Russia," he told TASS.
According to Grushko, if you look at the orientation of these exercises, you can immediately conclude that they are directed towards Russia. In addition, he also stressed that these actions are extremely provocative.
The Bild newspaper reported on June 1 that the military exercises of Russia and NATO, which will take place simultaneously in the Baltic Sea, may cause an increase in tension in the region.
On May 31, it became known that small anti-submarine ships of the Baltic Fleet conducted artillery firing at sea and air targets, as well as practiced fighting unmanned boats as part of the exercises. As part of the exercises, the destruction of floating sea mines that pose a danger to navigation was also practiced.
