In Vorkuta, in Komi, 115 employees were evacuated at the Komsomolskaya mine due to the shutdown of the main ventilation fan. This was announced on May 4 on the official website of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the republic.

"The main ventilation fan stopped at the Komsomolskaya mine of the Vorkuta Defense Ministry. The reason is being established," the publication says.

It is specified that the department of the Vorgashor paramilitary mountain rescue platoon and the operational group of the Vorkuta local fire and rescue garrison left for the scene.

It was later reported that the fan was restored, and the evacuation was stopped. The mine continues to operate in accordance with the normal regime.

On May 16, it was reported about power outages in mines and settlements in the Kemerovo region. Because of this, almost 30 thousand people were left without electricity.
