In Yakutia, police officers returned over 11.6 million rubles to victims of fraud. This was reported on June 4 by the official channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

"In the Republic of Sakha, the police have secured the return of a large sum of money to the victims of fraudsters. So, a 51-year-old resident of Lensk was returned 2.3 million rubles, lost last fall due to a complex scheme of deception," the Telegram channel says.

A criminal case was opened under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud"). The police later detained the suspect. More than 26 million rubles stolen from Russian citizens were found on his accounts. The judicial authorities of the republic have already allowed the return of part of the funds to the victims.

So, 865 thousand rubles were returned to a resident of Ruzaevka, and 8.5 million rubles to a resident of Cherepovets.

The day before, experts from the Mousetrap platform of the Popular Front warned about popular fraudulent "summer" schemes. For example, attackers can cheat with fake side jobs. According to experts, profitable jobs appear in applications that do not require work experience. After the person responds, the scammers offer to open a bank account or transfer their access to an online bank for "payroll".
