Trondheim Finance Minister Kjetil Reinscow said on June 4 that hosting the World Ski Championships in Trondheim from February 26 to March 9 had led to an economic disaster.

"When you go from a profit forecast of 20-30 million kronor (€1.7–2.5 million) in January, and then sell as many tickets as you sold, and end up with double-digit losses of millions, it's hard to understand," the VG newspaper quoted him as saying.

The World Cup was organized by Trondheim 2025 AS. The meeting on the results of the competition was held on June 2 with the participation of the leadership of the Norwegian Ski Association, the Sør-Trøndelag district and the municipality of Trondheim.

It is specified that the losses are estimated at 34 million crowns (€ 2.7 million), but the figure may change.

There were various incidents among the participants at the World Cup itself. Team leader Jan-Erik Olbu confessed about one of them on March 9 to NRK TV channel. He said that the Norwegian ski jumping team tried to circumvent the rules with equipment.
