The US Senate is ready to adopt a bill on the introduction of new sanctions against Russia. This was announced on June 3 by the special envoy of the American president, Keith Kellogg, in an interview with Fox News.

"I spoke with [U.S. Senator] Lindsey Graham (listed in Russia as a terrorist and extremist. — Ed.) last weekend and I believe that the senators are ready to act. They called it the "law on sanctions against Russia 2025," he said.

He also noted that he was confident in the senator's readiness to adopt sanctions. At the same time, the special envoy clarified that the new sanctions against Russia will be "very tough."

Bloomberg reported on June 1 that Graham intends to impose new sanctions against Russia before the G7 summit, which will be held from June 15 to 17. According to his statement and Senator Richard Blumenthal, a 500% duty is expected to be imposed on imports from countries that buy Russian petroleum products.
