More than 40 prayer sites for Eid al-Adha have been prepared in the Moscow region.
In the Moscow region, more than 40 sites have been prepared for festive prayers on Eid al-Adha, as well as 12 sites equipped for the sacrifice ceremony. This was stated on June 3 by Rushan Abbyasov, Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation (DUMA of the Russian Federation) for International Affairs and Hajj at a press conference at the Moscow International Religious Center "Russia Today".
"To date, we have prepared more than 40 venues for festive prayers in different cities of the Moscow region. We ask our co-religionists to stay in their cities and pray at the sites prepared for this. About 12 sites have also been prepared for the sacrifice ceremony," he said.
Abbyasov also stressed that rituals should be conducted in specially designated places, such as farms or slaughterhouses, rather than courtyards or playgrounds.
Eid al-Adha is the most important holiday in Muslim culture. The date of the holiday is floating, this year it fell on June 6. According to tradition, on this day, believers will perform a festive prayer and a rite of sacrifice.
