Three Serbian citizens have been detained in France on suspicion of desecrating Holocaust memorials in Paris. This was reported on June 3 by BFMTV, citing a source close to the investigation.
"Three Serbian men suspected of dousing five sites frequented by the Jewish community in Paris with green paint have been arrested near Antibes (a commune in southeastern France. — Ed.) on Monday, June 2," the publication says.
According to media reports, the incident occurred on the night of May 30-31. It is specified that among the places doused with paint were the Agudas Hakehilos synagogue and the memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. Law enforcement agencies are considering the possibility of foreign interference, the source added.
