The main goal pursued by Kiev, organizing terrorist attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation, is to force Moscow to leave the negotiation process. This was stated to Izvestia by Ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik.

"Terrorist attacks always create information pressure and an extremely negative atmosphere around negotiations. In the end, first of all, this characterizes the organizers of these terrorist attacks as a party that does not want, in principle, to achieve (a result. — Ed.) in negotiations. It demonstrates that they participate in negotiations not because they want peace or a settlement, but because they are under some kind of external pressure. The main purpose of organizing such actions is to force Russia to stop negotiations. Because the negotiations are for [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky and his entourage are like death," the diplomat said.

On June 3, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation officially characterized the bombings of the railway infrastructure in the Bryansk and Kursk regions as terrorist attacks.
