In St. Petersburg, a minor girl was injured when a car hit her. This was announced on June 3 in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city and the Leningrad region.

"On June 3, at 9:15 a.m., at the intersection of the Fontanka River Embankment and English Avenue, a female Volkswagen driver ran over a 16-year-old girl who was crossing the roadway at a pedestrian crossing," the agency said in a message on its Telegram channel.

It is specified that as a result of the incident, the girl was hospitalized in serious condition. The police are conducting an investigation into the accident in the Admiralteysky district.

On May 24, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Republic of Mari El reported that two teenagers were killed in an accident involving a VAZ-2115 car and a moped. It was clarified that the collision occurred as a result of a violation of the safe distance by the driver of the car.
