On June 4, Russia initiated an informal meeting with members of the United Nations Security Council (UN) on the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on June 3 by the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations.

"Tomorrow, June 4, at 10:00 New York time (17:00 Moscow time), an informal meeting of the members of the UN Security Council on the Arria formula, convened by Russia, will take place," the Telegram channel reported.

The meeting will be held on the topic "Understanding and eliminating the ideological root causes of the Ukrainian crisis."

The second round of negotiations between Moscow and Kiev took place on June 2. At the same time, it became known that the memorandum of the Russian side on the settlement of the conflict includes 31 points, including options for a possible ceasefire.

At the end of the negotiations, the head of the Russian delegation, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky, said that Ukraine and Russia had agreed on the largest exchange of prisoners of war since the beginning of the special operation, which would include at least 1,000 people from each side.
