Musk called for the United Nations to be stripped of funding because of Guterres' words about digital threats

American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk on Tuesday, June 3, called for the termination of funding for the United Nations (UN).

His post on the social network X (ex. Twitter) was a reaction to the statement by the Secretary General of the organization, Antonio Guterres, on the need to counter the spread of disinformation and hatred on digital platforms.

"Deprive the UN of funding," Musk wrote, commenting on the words of the UN Secretary General.

"Russia is aware of its special responsibility for the future of the United Nations"
