A high-tech prosthetics Center for veterans of a special military operation (SVO) has been opened in the Moscow region, where military personnel with severe wounds will be able to undergo comprehensive rehabilitation, and classes will include unique sports training. The new CITO branch was opened on June 3 by Rostec State Corporation, the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA of Russia) and the Defenders of the Fatherland State Foundation.

The center was established in the village of Goluboe on the basis of the FMBA Treatment and Rehabilitation Center, a medical institution with more than half a century of history. The expertise of the specialists of the FMBA and CITO Rostec has allowed us to create a unique rehabilitation system where all the help — from high—precision prosthetics to full-fledged physical, social and psychological adaptation - is in one place.

"It is important that every veteran with disabilities regains not only the ability to move, but also the desire to live an active life. With the help of innovative techniques, personal training programs and constant support, we open up new opportunities for them — from playing sports to traveling and professional achievements. The recovery process includes not only the installation of prosthetics, but also a full cycle of rehabilitation: diagnosis, manufacture of individual structures, training in their use and psychological adaptation," said Anna Tsivileva, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Defenders of the Fatherland State Fund.

The rehabilitation department of the center has a capacity of 21 beds. Here, specialists have organized the production of full-cycle prostheses, which will produce up to 500 modern models per year, including those with microprocessor control. They allow you to adapt to different speeds of movement, overcome obstacles, as well as stay on your feet for a long time and lead an active lifestyle.

Veronika Skvortsova, head of the FMBA, noted that the new center is the first in the country to use comprehensive methods. This not only accelerates and improves impaired motor functions, but also changes the patient's personal mood, increases his vitality, and significantly reduces the level of psycho-emotional stress.

"This center is the first of its kind in the country, which has actually created a reference model of comprehensive rehabilitation, including all the necessary components.: This includes medical rehabilitation, psychological, social and cultural," Skvortsova said.

A network of high-tech rehabilitation centers is being developed in the country on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation, said that by 2027, in partnership with the FMBA, it is planned to create 10 similar centers where comprehensive rehabilitation will be possible. The sites are planned to be built in Siberia, the Far East, the Volga region and the south of the country.

On May 20, veterans of the Russian Military, who plan to conquer the top of Mount Elbrus on prosthetic legs, completed the stage of physical preparation for climbing within the framework of the "Time of the Strong" project. After being diagnosed at the Beloostrov clinic and undergoing a unique, first-in-the-Russian medical and training program at the Sports Medical Clinic (FT Sirius) Eight people were admitted to the training acclimatization exit at an altitude of 4.8 thousand meters above sea level. The project is organized by the My Medical Center Group of companies and Bionics 2.0 with the support of the Defenders of the Fatherland State Foundation and KAVKAZ.RF JSC.
