An intelligence officer of the terrorist organization of Ukraine, who was collecting information about military and industrial facilities, was identified and detained in St. Petersburg. This was announced on Tuesday, June 3, by a source of Izvestia.
According to the source, a previously convicted resident of St. Petersburg, born in 1993, collected information about factories, airfields and scientific and production enterprises in the city and the Leningrad region. According to the information received, he passed this information to representatives of the ATESH organization (recognized as terrorist and banned in the Russian Federation), whose members are involved in a number of sabotage actions in the Russian Federation.
A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation in the activities of a terrorist organization"). He faces a sentence of 10 to 20 years in prison.
Earlier that day, a resident of Feodosia was detained in Crimea, who, on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, assembled a bomb and placed it in a cache in Sevastopol. It was clarified that the attacker, in accordance with the task of the curator, took pre-prepared components for the manufacture of explosives from two caches located in the Crimea. He received instructions on how to create it via video link. The man put the manufactured product in a cache located in the Balaklava district of Sevastopol.
