The political scientist pointed to the unwillingness of the White House to host Zelensky.

The visit of the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Ermak, indicates the unwillingness of the White House to see Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky. Political analyst Ivan Mezyuho told Izvestia about this on June 3.

According to him, Yermak's visit is important for Ukraine and the United States, as well as for representatives of the governing bodies of the Kiev regime.

"If Zelensky could personally go to [US President] Donald Trump, he would do it. I think Zelensky is simply not welcome in the White House, so he has to send an entire delegation instead," the political scientist noted.

Mezyuho also did not rule out that during the contacts the United States demonstrates the full scale of Washington's influence on Ukraine and, in particular, on the fate of Ermak himself.

"This visit may have career consequences for the head of the office of the President of Ukraine. Theoretically, the United States can consider Ermak as a potential replacement for Zelensky. This option is possible if Trump decides to replace Zelensky, which also cannot be ruled out," the political scientist noted.

The expert added that there is currently a serious uncertainty about the United States' policy towards Ukraine.

Moscow has offered Kiev an exchange of prisoners and bodies of dead soldiers.

On this day, Ermak announced on the Telegram channel that he had arrived in the United States as part of the Ukrainian delegation headed by the Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko. According to him, tougher sanctions against Russia, support for Ukraine and an agreement on the creation of an investment fund for the reconstruction of the country will be discussed.

On February 28, during Zelensky's visit to the White House, a verbal altercation took place between Trump and the Ukrainian leader. The American president accused Zelensky of disrespecting the United States. The Ukrainian leader was also criticized by US Vice President Jay Dee Vance. After the incident, Zelensky left the White House earlier than scheduled.
