The terrorist attacks in the Bryansk and Kursk regions were organized by the Ukrainian special services on the direct orders of Kiev. This opinion was shared with Izvestia on June 3 by Andrei Manoilo, a political scientist, doctor of political sciences, and a participant in the military operation in Syria.

"I am sure that terrorist acts such as those that occurred recently were sanctioned at the highest Ukrainian level," the expert stressed.

According to Manoilo, the target of the terrorist attack by the Kiev regime was exclusively peaceful citizens of Russia.

"The goal pursued by the terrorists was to destroy as many peaceful Russian citizens as possible. This is certainly an inhumane act that must be severely punished," the political scientist noted.

What happened is not a manifestation of force on the part of Ukraine, but an act of desperation, Manoilo explained.

On May 31, a bridge collapsed in the Bryansk region when cars and a Klimov–Moscow passenger train were passing over it. The next day, in the Kursk region, a bridge collapsed while a freight train was passing.

On June 3, the Investigative Committee of Russia classified the collapse of railway bridges in the Bryansk and Kursk regions as terrorist attacks. It is reported that during the initial investigative actions, parts of explosive devices, as well as other material evidence, were seized.

According to Alexei Zudin, a political scientist and senior lecturer at MGIMO in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Kiev authorities are already using a familiar strategy to select civilian targets in Russia for terrorist attacks.
