- Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told about the demining of the liberated territories of the DPR

On June 3, employees of the Specialized Rescue Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) told Izvestia about the continuation of mine clearance and rescue operations in the liberated territories of the region.
"There are a lot of engineering munitions, such as anti—personnel mines, anti-tank mines, and a sufficient number of unexploded mortar mines and artillery ammunition," said Evgeny Klimenko, head of the specialized rescue center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, in an interview with Izvestia correspondent Evgeny Bykovsky.
There is a high density of explosive objects, including PMF-1 Petal anti-personnel mines, prohibited by the Geneva Convention.
According to Bykovsky, experts destroy dangerous ammunition that cannot be removed on the spot using overhead charges.
On May 15, the administration of the Kremen Municipal District of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) warned residents about the danger of encountering Ukrainian mines disguised as mushrooms in the forest belts. It clarifies that the devices look like ordinary objects, but they can be dangerous.
