Statistics show a noticeable slowdown in inflation in Russia. This was announced on June 3 by the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov during an "Open Dialogue" in the Federation Council.

"The growth rate of consumer demand is slowing down. At the same time, the increase in household incomes continues to flow into savings, rather than into the consumer market. Statistics show a noticeable slowdown in inflation," he stressed.

Reshetnikov added that the Russian economy has entered a cooling period after high growth rates in the past two years. According to him, many branches of the real sector show a drop in output.

On May 26, Reshetnikov reported that in recent weeks, inflation in Russia has been in the range of 3-4% in annual terms, based on weekly data. He called the forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development for inflation for the current year at 7.6% realistic, explaining this by the accumulated inflationary potential formed in late 2024 and early 2025.
