Roscosmos plans to develop space tourism based on the new Russian

The promising Russian Orbital Station (ROS) may become a platform for the development of space tourism when it finally replaces the International Space Station (ISS). This was announced on June 3 by the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Bakanov on the sidelines of the 10th conference "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia" (CIPR).
"Instead of the ISS, there will be a Russian orbital station, where we also plan to develop tourist missions," Bakanov told Rossiya-1 TV channel.
According to the general schedule, ROS will be deployed in circumpolar orbit from 2027 to 2033. Work is currently underway to create a new station.
In January, Vladimir Solovyov, General Designer of the Russian Federation for Manned space systems and complexes, General Designer of RSC Energia, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, announced that the launch of the ROS scientific and energy module is planned for December 2027. It was noted that the Russian space station is needed to maintain a domestic manned presence in orbit after the ISS ceases to operate.
